Greta and Goofy – 10 month old male and female Cross-Breeds

Greta and Goofy are 10 month old, medium size Cross-Breed siblings (weight: 10/12 kg; shoulder height: 45 cm). They were dumped and found at the side of the road in rural Hungary last October. Greta has slightly longer and wiry hair and Goofy has beautiful shiny short black hair. They can be rehomed together or separately. They can be a bit timid when meeting new people but they make friends quite soon once they see you mean no harm. They are both a bit shy, Greta tends to roll onto her back as soon as you make contact with her and Goofy is a bit jumpy, that is how he is showing his affection.

They can get scared of sudden movements but they’ve never shown aggression. They have been good around children but we will not rehome them with children due to them being shy and can get spooked easily. They are very kind natured and sweet, active and healthy puppies who have never had a proper puppyhood and there is a lot to learn for them. They both love people and are very affectionate. They also get on well with dogs, they like playing around but they only have each other for company at the moment.

Currently they live in a foster placement in an outdoor kennel during the day and in the house overnight. Their housetraining is a work in progress but they are learning quick. They are not walked regularly and it is down to their new families to train them to walk nicely on and off the lead. They were travelling nicely in the car, slightly scared but nicely lying down and resting. Their current environment lacks stimuli and we would like to find them homes the sooner the better.

Greta and Goofy would be best suited for a family without or with older children only where they are not left alone for long periods of time. Their future families will need to continue their socialisation and train them to become happy and well behaved adult dogs.They will need loads of love and attention and gentle guidance so they can grow in confidence. Their families will need to be patient and give them time to settle in their new environment. They would be happy going on walks and doing activities with their families to help them create a strong bond and live life to the full! We want them to be treated as family and get all the love and care accordingly so they can forget about their troubled past. They could live with a friendly doggie mate, but they would be equally happy living with their humans to care for them only. As all rescue dogs, they will need love, patience, time and commitment from their adopting family/families.

Greta and Goofy are currently in Hungary and can travel to the UK as soon as the right family/families are found for them. They come fully vaccinated, neutered, microchipped, dewormed, flea and tick treated, with an EU passport and DEFRA approved paperwork.
