My name is Mya and I am a female Border Collie just 21 months old and in need of my
forever home. I came in to PPBC two months ago and sadly there wasn’t enough foster space
for me. Fortunately, there was a spare kennel for me to go into, on a temporary basis, until a
foster or adoptive home could be found. At least I was safe, however, like most Collies, I’m
not as happy as I could be in a kennel environment and I’m now ready to go out and explore
the world and learn new things.
PPBC don’t know much about me, but believe I used to live with a family, along with a child
and another dog. I would probably be best suited to an adult only home or family with older
children but no cats. I am best as an only dog because I have not been socialised with others
very much, am very vocal towards them and I might show some warning signs. I can be shy
at first, but I am a very affectionate girl once I’ve developed a bond with you. I love to play and my favourite game is tug. I have loads of energy and would need a secure garden with enough space to run around, play and have fun.
I travel well in the car but ideally, need to be crated. I am house-trained, although I may or
may not need a gentle reminder and help with this as I’m in kennels. I am a bright girl, but have not had much training up to now. I love to use my brain and have heaps of potential. With the right guidance, commitment and patience from a kind and knowledgeable forever home, I will be able to develop. and grow into a super, happy and loyal companion. I am currently living in South Wales, but can be transported through the UK (except Northern Ireland).
