Golden Retriever Puppy Discovers Next Level Of The Tail-Chasing Game

Every dog knows that chasing their own tail is an endless game. No matter how close they get, their tail continues to run away. Very few dogs have completed this game, but what happens once it’s over? Are all of life’s answers solved for a dog if they catch their own tail?

Luckily, a Golden Retriever puppy named Jeeya discovered something even better. She found a way to put an end to the sadness and boredom a dog might feel after beating their favorite game. The answer was simple: move on to the next level!

Jeeya surprised her family and friends when she found out that there is a second level to the tail-chasing game. As it turns out, the leash-chasing game is even more challenging.

The 13-week-old pup became fascinated in her training leash. Somehow, it had gotten wrapped all the way around the island in the kitchen. The end of the leash just lay there, staring her down. The only solution she could think of was to chase it!

Just like the famous tail-chasing game, whenever Jeeya would chase her leash, it would move away from her. The faster she moved, the faster the leash ran away. It was a never-ending cycle, but like the tail-chasing game, it wasn’t impossible.

When Jeeya’s mom saw her chasing the leash around and around and around, she couldn’t contain her laughter. She immediately started recording the adorable puppy. The video captured the first look at the new dog craze: chasing the leash.

The Adorable Video

In the video, Jeeya spends over a minute chasing her leash in circles. She has so much determination for such a young pup, so she doesn’t let herself get distracted. Although she stops to pick up a piece of newspaper for a second, then she gets right back to chasing her leash.

“My 13-week-old Golden Retriever named Jeeya is always fascinated with anything that moves,” said Jeeya’s mom. “Jeeya and I came back from our walk and she ran inside. When I got in, I saw her running around the kitchen island. It took me a moment to realize she was trying to catch her training leash.”

Toward the end of the video, Jeeya finally grabs hold of her leash. She walks around the island with the lead held tightly in her mouth. For a second, she lets go, but she quickly grabs it again. What a smart puppy!

Not only has Jeeya discovered the second level of the tail-chasing game, but she has now completed it! This video proves to dogs all over the world that anything is possible if you set your mind to it. Now, she has to discover what challenge comes next.

Partially Blind Homeless Dog Sees Again Thanks To Rescuers

Rescuers never know what surprises they may encounter when they attend to a homeless dog. The rescue group Hope for Paws were called to a residence to save a dog who had been hiding in the bushes for a number of days. The rescue was made challenging by unseen issues with the little dog’s health.

The Poodle Mix Was Found Nestled in a Bush

The rescuer arrived on the scene. He is heard on the video remarking that the homeowner who called Hope for Paws said that the small white dog had been sleeping in the bushes. The rescuer looked around the yard for just a minute or two before spotting the curled up dog. Talking very gently, he let the dog know he was there but the dog was not convinced that the man meant him no harm. The little dog showed his teeth to warn the rescuer not to come closer.

The Dog Snapped at Everything Around Him

As the rescuer attempted to get closer to the dog, the dog snapped at the leaves above his head. The rescuer moved a gentle snare towards the dog and the dog bit at the gentle lead. The dog was clearly afraid and the rescuer was afraid the dog was injured. When dogs are hit by a car, for example, they seek refuge and tend to get aggressive when someone attempts to move them. Pain is a common source of such aggressive behavior. The rescuer managed to get the gentle snare around the dog’s neck and began petting him with the lead.

The Dog Began Trusting the Rescuer

As the rescuer stroked the little dog’s head with the end of the gentle snare, the dog began to trust his rescuer. The rescuer named him Dolittle because the dog wanted to bite him a lot, but didn’t bite him at all. In order to assess the dog for injuries, the rescuer gently led Dolittle away from the bush. Dolittle moved reluctantly but did not seem to feel any pain. This was very encouraging. Now that the dog was out in the open, the rescuer could see him more clearly and felt confident that he was uninjured. After about 30 minutes, Dolittle laid down near his rescuer’s lap and allowed the rescuer to pet his head. Dolittle visibly relaxed under the man’s gentle touch.

The Rescuer Realized Dolittle was Visually Impaired

The rescuer took Dolittle to the groomer to get cleaned up and clipped. This is when he realized that Dolittle could not see very well. Once this was realized, the dog’s behavior in the bushes made more sense. Many homeless dogs display fear and aggression toward their rescuers. Of course Dolittle was defensive! Not being able to see what is happening around you is scary!

Surgery Corrected the Dog’s Vision

Thanks to donations from supporters of Hope for Paws, Dolittle received surgery to correct his vision. COVID-19 prevented Hope for Paws from filming inside the vet hospital. They were able to shoe Dolittle running and playing with his newfound vision. What a difference! From scared and unable to see clearly to romping around, unable to believe his eyes, Dolittle was ready for anything!

Chris Evans Joined Instagram Just To Share Pictures Of His Dog

If you thought you couldn’t love Chris Evans any more than you already do then buckle up and brace yourself. You may know by now that he is completely in love with his dog, Dodger. He rescued Dodger while he was filming Gifted. The cast filmed a scene where they were in an animal shelter, and at first he thought the dogs were brought in specifically for filming. What he didn’t know was that the doggos were all waiting for their forever homes and that his life would be changed forever.

Dodger Is The Star Of His Dad’s World… And His Instagram

When Evans laid eyes on Dodger, the two had an instant connection. He knew from that moment that Dodger would be coming home with him. The rest is history!

First, Dodger won over his dad’s heart and now the pair is winning over all of our hearts systematically with each perfect picture! Dodger is so photogenic and irresistibly adorable that his proud dad had to finally give in and get an Instagram, admittingly just to show off Dodger’s pictures.

“I guess I caved,” Evans told Jimmy Fallon on the Tonight Show about joining the world of Instagram. “I feel like such an old man. I’m so late to the party. You know what it is? I had too many good pictures of my dog. I was like, they’re being wasted in my phone. I need to put these somewhere.”

I have to admit that this is one of Evans’ better choices, right up there with the matching cable knit sweater he wore with Dodger.

Joining Instagram Wasn’t The Only Decision Evans And Dodger Recently Made Together

Now, we know the decision to join Instagram has was a great choice but the truth is, Evans and Dodger’s time spent social distancing the last few months hasn’t exactly been packed with great choices. Things got a little… hairy. Or less hairy.

You see, what happened was, Dodger needed a little haircut. Evans, like most of us dog parents, thought he could handle it. Things didn’t quite go as planned.

“I had done it once before right when quarantine began, I gave him jut a little bit of a trim, just with a little bit of timidity,” Evans recalled. “And it went great so I got a little confident and put on a shorter attachment and it exploded in my face and I kept trying to fix it and eventually I was like, alright, I’ve just got to cut my losses.”

But, as Evans’ Instagram has proven, Dodger’s botched haircut hasn’t distracted us from how handsome he is!

Wilbur – 1-2 year old male Lurcher

Wilbur is a 1-2 year old male Lurcher. Not a pig in stature but I sure do love rolling around and obsessed with food! A little greedy sometimes I must admit and always on hand as a surface cleaner! Generally a quiet young man who likes the easy life without too much hassle. A cosy bed and lots of fuss is what I’m enjoying.

Each day I feel my confidence is growing and a smile appearing on my face. Toys have been a great aid whilst settling in and I’ve even mastered the typical Lurcher ‘Play Bow’ move which amuses the staff. As you can see I do feel the cold so ensure a wardrobe will fit in my room for my coats and jumpers. I think a settled home with experienced teenage children and another dog will help me shine and give me that boost I need.

Sadly my interest in small animals is too great for me to live with any. I would love another female dog to snuggle up to but would be really happy to have that one to one with a new owner who I could follow around and help out. Just scoot over on the sofa though as I love my cuddles!
