Tye is a 9 year old male Miniature Dachshund who needs a new home as his mum sadly passed away recently as did the older beagle girl he lived with. He’s understandably very confused at present and has been passed to a few different homes in the last few weeks.
Today he found his way to us and is now settling into his foster home. He could live with another calm, gentle female dog but isn’t good with cats. We think his ideal home would be one where he has someone at home most of the time as he loves human company and snuggles.
He’d be perfect for a retired person or couple. We don’t know how he is around young children so a household with no children or visiting children 5+ would be best. He walks well on his lead, travels fine in the car and is so affectionate to everyone he meets. He is vaccinated and chipped and will need to go to our vets ASAP for his neutering to be done. He’s a sprightly lad who jumps with ease on and off the sofa.
Forever homes can be anywhere within the UK but you will need to travel to us in South Yorkshire. As always we require everyone in the family and any children who are regularly going to be in contact with the dog to attend the meet. Our usual process is that you will need to come and meet the dog and that adoption is then done on a second meet.
For some dogs additional meets may be required and potential adopters will be required to travel to the dogs location for all meets. If you meet the criteria for this dog please call to discuss (if your call is not answered please leave a voicemail and we will return your call).
If you are suited we will then arrange a homecheck, vet reference and meet with the dog. We only rehome where all resident and previous animals are/were regularly vaccinated and neutered/speyed unless on veterinary advice.
