Nina – 2 year old female Cross-Breed

Nina is a 2 year old female Cross-Breed. This adorable scruffy little girl is currently looking for her new home in England or Wales (we don’t rehome to Scotland). She was brought in to a pound in Northern Spain some months ago, and spent the first few weeks nervous and afraid of human contact.

We don’t know what had happened to her or what her past story is, she was collected as a stray and brought in. She has grown in confidence over the last few weeks, blossoming into the lovely, friendly and active girl you can see in the pictures.

Nina is extremely affectionate and loves attention from those she knows. She approaches for a fuss once she feels comfortable, wagging her tail and is always so happy to see people. The pound is a difficult environment for any dog, but particularly for a young girl like Nina. She coped very well and was social to all dogs (male and female). In the boarding kennel she currently lives in, Spain she is happy around male and female dogs, even if they are bigger than she is, and is loving the extra space to run and explore.

Nina is of small to medium size (shoulder height: 42cm, weight:13kg). She is bouncy and energetic and needs a home that will offer her lots of mental and physical stimulation. She is still very young, and as we don’t know anything about her past experiences or training, her new family will need to help her learn everything from scratch, how to walk nicely on a lead, housetraining, manners at home and when meeting new people, and to continue her socialisation with other dogs.

It may be that she has never before experienced a home environment, and future adopters need to be patient and understanding of this. She may chew things, need help to feel comfortable left alone and she may have accidents inside at first. We are sure, that with commitment and training, whoever takes Nina home, will be taking a treasure into their lives.

Nina is looking for a home with a fully fenced garden so that she can run and play safely. She needs an adult only home, as we would like her to be the priority in her new home, to give her the time to learn about life outside of a kennel environment. She is not cat tested and we do not have the option to do so.

Ideally, we feel Nina would be happiest living with another young, friendly dog, as this is what she has been used to, however she could be happy as an only dog, with doggy friends to visit and play with.

If you feel you could offer Nina the right home, please get in touch.
