Sophie, is a very beautiful and loving 4 year old female Collie Cross, with the most amazingly fluffy ears and tail. Sophie arrived from Romania in 2017 and has been in the same home since then, unfortunately a family bereavement has occurred and we now need to find a new home for Sophie.
Sophie is a gorgeous girl who loves attention, cuddles and fuss. She especially loves to be brushed, and pampered, although she isn’t keen on being bathed. Sophie can be shy upon first meeting her, but once she knows you she is such a friendly and loving girl, who just loves a fuss and a cuddle. Sophie is always smiling and when she wags her tail, her whole body wiggles!

Sophie has lived with cats, and other dogs, and she gets along fine with them. She loves to play with her furry brother and will happily play with other dogs, although she can sometimes react to other dogs when out on walks.
Sophie is very eager to learn and to please, she picks up new commands very quickly and loves to learn new skills. Sophie knows all her basic commands – sit, stand, wait, stay, down, up, and many, many more, including hug, lift (when you need to wipe her paws) about turn, front and side. She has beautiful food manners and patience, and will not eat her food until told to do so, she takes treats so very gently.
Sophie walks beautifully on the lead, and loves going on long countryside walks. She travels well in the car, and has enjoyed plenty of caravan holidays. She loves to paddle in streams and rivers, and although she can swim, she chooses not to! But equally, Sophie can also be a bit of a couch potato, and enjoys lazing in the sun, and in winter her favourite spot is in front of the fire!

Although Sophie can be wary upon first meeting someone, once she knows you, she is such a loving and friendly girl. She can be a little nervous around children, and she is easily startled by sudden movements and noises, so she would prefer a home with no small children. Sophie has always lived in a rural location, so she isn’t used to busy, town centres.
Sophie loves having another dog for companionship and play, and since she can be a little nervous at times, she would definitely benefit from a home where there is another confident dog in residence, to help her settle in.
