Turo – 8 month old female Cross-Breed

Túró (Curd) is an 8 month old female Cross-Breed puppy (current weight: 10 kg; shoulder height: 40 cm) who we rescued from a city pound in Hungary with her sibling Nudli, early February. They spent 181 days in the pound after their mum with 7 puppies were handed over to the city pound to be destroyed last August. 5 pups have found their homes quite soon and their mum was taken over by another rescue organisation. Only poor Turo and Nudli were left behind, abandoned, without their family. We would like to find them loving homes where they can forget about their troubled past and live a happy dog’s life for the rest of their life!

Túró is a lovely girl who loves playing with her doggie mates. She’s got a funny little character, very playful who enjoys freedom after all those months spent in a kennel. She was very scared of people when we first got her but she’s opening up nicely and she is a much braver girl now. She can still be timid when meeting new people and she will need some time to get confident in her new home. She can get scared of sudden movements and gentle handling will be essential to help her come out of her shell.

She can get scared of sudden movements and gentle handling is a must with these kind of dogs to help them come out of their shell. She also gets on well with dogs, likes playing around and still learning to play as she has not had the opportunity before. She is perfectly fine with dogs of her size or smaller, but she can be a bit wary of larger dogs. However, she makes friends with them too if they are sociable.

Túró currently lives in a mini shelter in an outdoor kennel during the day and in the house overnight. Her housetraining is a work in progress but she is learning quick. She is not walked regularly and it is down to her new family to train her to walk nicely on and off the lead.

Túró would be best suited for a family without or with children over 14 where she is not left alone for long periods of time. She will need time to settle in her new home and leave her fears behind. Her new family will need to continue her socialisation and training, and taking her to puppy classes is strongly advised.

We want her to be included in family programmes and taken on nice walks to help create a strong bond and let her live life to the full! She would probably benefit from living with a friendly doggie mate, but she could also be happy living with her humans to care for her only.

As all rescue dogs, she will need time, patience, love and commitment from her adopting family to become a happy doggie.

Túró is currently in Hungary and can travel to the UK as soon as the right family is found for her. She comes fully vaccinated, spayed, microchipped, dewormed, flea and tick treated, with an EU passport and DEFRA approved paperwork.

Adoption is subject to Home Check and Adoption fee.
