Hugo is a four year old male Husky Cross. He is a reserved and quiet boy who can be a little daunted by life but we believe this is because he has been in the same home all his life and had a very strong bond with his previous male owner. Hugo has lived with another dog and he does get on with other dogs, but he is selective about which dogs he calls friends and which he doesn’t so we would advise that he is the only dog in the home. Although he has shown little interest in them, due to his breed we would advise a home with no cats or small furries. Hugo can go to a home where the children are over 13 years and familiar with dogs.
Hugo is a complete gentleman who walks well on the lead and knows his basic commands, he is a little fussy about treats but sausage is his favourite. He will play but is not overly interested in toys. He loves being out on a walk and enjoys nothing more than sniffing and being in the fields.
A little shy we would say that Hugo needs to build confidence with his new handlers to build a strong bond, he can become spooked by the unknown and he needs someone with experience who can give him the time and love he deserves.
