Hazel – 5 year old female Yorkshire Terrier

Hazel is a 5 year old female Yorkshire Terrier. Little Hazel has come to us as she was no longer needed for breeding, she has never lived in a home so is not used to all the sights, sounds and smells. She must be re homed with at least one other similar sized, confident and gentle, resident dog to show her the way.

Another dog is imperative as Hazel will gain confidence and mimic their behavior. This will help her adjust and settle in her new home. Hazel is blind in one eye, this does not cause her any pain and it is thought to be from a very old injury so she is used to coping with the loss of sight in that eye. No further treatment is required.

She will need patient new owners who are around for most of the day, who have experience of nervous dogs and the patience to allow her to go forward at her own pace. As Hazel is not used to life in a home she will be best homed with older teenagers who understand her fears and allow her to come to them when she feels secure. New owners will need to be around for most of the day, this will help with Hazels bonding and progress. She has been neutered, vaccinated and micro chipped and had a full dental. She is also up to date with flea and worming treatments.

Hazel is currently being foster in Swanley Kent.
