Rex is a 2 year old male Belgian Shepherd (malinois) Cross. He’s shown to be very friendly towards people and other dogs but failed his cat test so cannot be housed with cats/small furries. He is typical of his breed quite full on and boisterious but his foster is doing a great job of teaching him some manners and doing obedience training.
He was thin on arrival but has slowly gained weight and although he loves his food he hasn’t shown any kind of food aggression in fact is is happy for you to take food off him, be near him when eating etc. He has been quite clingy to his foster and follows her everywhere and has shown some signs of seperation anxiety but he has only been there for 3 weeks so the foster is working on this and we hope this will calm down once he settles in.
He is great out on the lead, doesn’t pull much and has started some recall training and has been off the lead already and returns when recalled. He is a really lovely dog, a very friendly, happy boy that despite what he’s been through there has been no lasting effects and he will no doubt make someone a lovely companion. He is being fostered in London but can be rehomed anywhere in the U.K. He comes with full rescue backup and constant support/advice if needed.
