Dolly is a 3-4 year old female Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Beautiful Dolly arrived with us in terrible condition, her guardian angels looked after her and ensured she came into rescue to receive the treatment she so desperately needed. Her eyes were dry and had been left untreated for a prolonged period of time, they were all but welded shut and would have been so very painful for her. It has taken a while but with the correct and regular treatment she is looking so much better and will of course be feeling a million times more comfortable.
She will need to continue with eye treatment for the rest of her life (Optimune – £25 per month if purchased via rescue, from vets £46). Dolly also has Gel Tears during the day, these are relatively inexpensive and can be purchased from most chemists. We will be happy to discuss her needs fully with suitable applicants. Dolly has limited sight, this may improve as her eyes improve but there are bo guarantees and it is not something we are able to predict.
Despite her sight being limited she is confident and gets around with no issues at all. She is great with other dogs and takes no+ notice of the cats. She loves her humans and is happiest after her walk cuddled up next to you on the sofa, she would happily sit all day with her human. Because of Dolly’s limited sight we would prefer a home with no young children and a quieter home where Dolly will have lots of attention.
Dolly has been bred from and arrived still in full milk, her teats will reduce over time but again there is no guarantee that they will go back fully. She has clearly endured an awful lot in her short life and deserves to be well cared for and loved. She has been neutered, vaccinated and micro chipped and is up to date with flea and worming treatment. She is currently being fostered in Beckenham Kent.
