Darwin is a 4 year old male Cross-Breed. This sweet boy, along with 2 other dogs, was seized from the owners by the Council as they were kept in horrid conditions. He was a bit withdrawn initially at the shelter but he’s improved a lot. Darwin is almost 4 years old, medium size, about the size of a puli, with a beautiful white coat which could do with some TLC. He has a nice temperament, he is a bit shy but he’s friendly and compatible with everyone. He loves people and gets on well with dogs. He has a strange way of communicating in that he’s sort of ’growling’ when he speaks to you and constantly wagging his tail all the time.
You can put your hand into his mouth he will not bite, this has nothing to do with aggression, it is just his unique way of communication. He lives with a pack of dogs in the shelter so he is thoroughly socialized with them. He is friendly with male and female dogs alike. He’s been tested with cats and was friendly with them too. He walks fine on the lead but he is not being walked regularly. He also traveled calmly in the car in a travel crate.
Darwin would be best suited for a family without children who are ready to show him the world outside the shelter and would not leave him alone for long periods. He could live with a friendly doggie or cats in the household, but he would probably be happiest living with his family to care for him only.
Darwin is currently in Hungary and can travel to the UK as soon as the right family’s found for him. He comes fully vaccinated, neutered, microchipped, dewormed, flea and tick treated, with an EU passport and DEFRA approved paperwork.
