Winston is a 12 year old male boy with a huge personality, a jovial temperament and he is great fun to be around. He has arrived in the rescue very recently from his native Romania and is looking for a loving home to retire in. Winston gets on okay with other dogs, although can get grumpy with other boys. He most definitely prefers ladies. He is great with people although he does like to have a little bark at the fishermen we pass on our walks. It’s just to remind them who’s boss really but will listen to corrections.

Winston will do anything for food anyhow and of course a belly rub. He is a super affectionate boy so anyone adopting this boy will need to have the time to give Winston plenty of love! He will not require an enormous amount of exercise, he does have dislocating knees but has been seen by our orthopaedic surgeon. He feels that Winston is coping great and putting him through surgery at his age given his good mobility would not be the right course of action.

Winston will need a family as an only pet or with female dogs. All prospective siblings are introduced to our dogs before any adoption so it will give us all the opportunity to see that all important chemistry if you do have other dogs. We never place our senior dogs with children to give them a more peaceful environment for their later years.
Do get in touch via the enquiry form if this old boy touches your heart and you feel you can offer him a lovely retirement.
