Tilly and Cody are 8 year old male and female Yorkshire Terriers. Their owner died and they spent the next few years incarcerated in a relative’s kitchen. Tilly and Cody are beautiful inside and out. They love nothing better than to cuddle up on a warm lap for a snooze. They are pretty good with their housetraining, but this lapsed somewhat after their owner died. They are fine in the car and seem to enjoy travelling and exploring new places.
Both Tilly and Cody walk nicely on leads. Cody loves long walks, but Tilly is more reluctant, and her foster mum usually carried her to their top field and then she happily walks back to the house. However when taken out for the day to explore new places she is much more eager to join in. They are good off lead and usually respond quickly when called, but both have that rather common terrier trait of turning their hearing off if there is something more interesting to investigate.
Cody and Tilly can be pretty obnoxious with other dogs when living with them, but have been fine with other dogs when out and about, and have behaved well when visiting other dogs homes. They are excellent with cats, and are in a foster home with several cats. They are very friendly and fine with children, but would rather not be in a home with very young children. They like adult company the best.
Tilly and Cody are in a foster home in Drefach, a few miles from the Sanctuary near Kidwelly in South Wales. Potential adopters will be expected to travel to meet them after completing an application questionnaire, and a home check.
