This handsome boy is a 7 year old Maltese cross Chihuahua who came into rescue after sadly biting the child who he had grown up with and had never shown any previous problems with. Because of this we will not be accepting applications with children in the home, in the event of any visiting children Popeye will need to be securely separated from them and the adopter will need to be able to demonstrate this at home check. We do not believe this boy has any malice in him and he has certainly not displayed any aggression here in foster.
Popeyes is a very well rounded lad who’s had a brilliant upbringing and has been well socialised. He loves his walks, he’s very friendly once he gets to know you and jumps up onto your lap for cuddles. He is housebroken and crate trained, non destructive in the house and happy to be left for small durations of time. Popeye has been great with dogs here in foster but can get a little humpy with some male dogs which sometimes isn’t always well appreciated.
We are happy to accept applications with male dogs though and suggest meets between them following a successful home check to establish the partnership. Popeye is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped and will be subject to a home check and adoption donation. He will also come with 4 weeks free insurance and a voucher for a box of free food.
