Tessy is a 2 year old Sabueso, currently at a shelter in Northern Spain. Sabuesos are a traditional hound used as working dogs in Spain. They make great pets, are very loyal, affectionate and good natured. They can have very challenging recall and may need to be walked on leads except in enclosed places.

Tessy has had a bad life with her hunter owner. Rescate Perrines tried for a month to get him to release her to them and in the end had to pick her up from the vets before she was put to sleep. She has a lovely character and is good with both male and female dogs- she currently shared a kennel with Sol. She is also good with cats.

She is like a puppy and is very playful, happy and affectionate, despite having been mistreated. She arrived very underweight and can be dominant around food. She does not walk well on the lead at the moment since she has not experienced this before.

The tip of her tail has been hurt but has scabbed and starting to heal.
