Pickle is a young Labrador cross. His passort claims him to be sixteen months old but I feel he could be under a year. Pickle is fostered in Gt Yarmouth (FR001). We were asked to take Pickle as he was a shivering and terrified picture of misery in a public shelter. Being black nobody was noticing him and even if they did he would need some confidence building before being suited to a normal domestic home.

We agreed to take him and he arrived a couple of weeks ago bringing the trembling and the fear with him. After hiding up for the first few days his puppy curiosity and sense of fun got the better of him and he plucked up the courage to come out of the shadows and join in with the other dogs in his foster home. From that moment on he has progressed slowly and steadily by the hour.

He is still a timid boy and would benefit from living with other dogs in his forever home. Fortunately he is very food motivated so continuing his confidence and training will come easily if armed with treats.
