Moshu – 9 year old male Cross-Breed

Moshu is a nine year old small to medium sized Cross-Breed. Moshu is a tubby little man who is currently on strict diet and exercise routine! Moshu arrived in our care a few months ago and initially presented himself as a right old grump with everyone but me. He became my shadow and I could do absolutely anything with him but with other people he would approach them all waggy tailed and appearing friendly but then snap if they stroked him. Moshu fostered Norwich Norfolk.

It’s been a while now and one by one he’s accepted other household members and regular visitors. I still wouldn’t trust him with people he doesn’t know and ask people to completely ignore him and not touch him. I don’t know if it was a case of him losing his nerve at the last minute or if he was just being a git quite frankly but we have to work with what’s presented to us lol and ignoring him simply works.

Now I’m not expecting a stampede of people wanting to adopt this tricky little chap, but if you don’t put the feelers out there you don’t find that one in a million person that will take this kind of dog on. Yes he could remain here with us but for every dog a fosterer keeps a space is taken up which means an average of twelve dogs a year elsewhere won’t be saved. Despite the fact that Moshu thinks it’s great in this madhouse with us he is really affectionate with those he loves and, despite not knowing it, he could get a lot more one to one love and attention elsewhere.

Moshu gets on great with other dogs. He adores his walks and walks well both on and off lead and doesn’t cause any bother to anyone out on walks. Introducing him to potential adopters is going to be a bit complex but very possible, if you’re up for a challenge, don’t have many visitors and are willing to take home a dog you might not be able to stroke for the first few hours then please give us a call. The devotion he has for me can be switched to someone new once I’m out of the picture but the level of understanding here needs to be deep!
