Lena is a 5 year old female English Setter. She has homed locally in Spain but sadly she was returned to the shelter recently because she has allergies and the owners didn’t want to deal with it. She’s now being fostered.
She’s a very calm dog, very laid back and likes to sleep. We think she’d do fine as an only dog as long as she had plenty of human company. She loves to eat too. Her two main loves are food and naps! She is however starting to come out of her shell as you can see in the video.
She’s really wonderful with children and she’s great with all people in general. She’s good with dogs too although she doesn’t play with them, she much prefers human company.
She’s currently being bathed using medicated shampoo every week to help her allergies and she has a spray which is applied daily. She is also on hypoallergenic dog food. When she arrived, she had an abscess on her neck which has now been removed.
We think she would do best in a cat free home or with people who are very experienced in integrating dogs and cats.
