Zoe – 11 year old female Jack Russell Terrier cross Chihuahua

Zoe i an 11 year old female Jack Russell Terrier cross Chihuahua. Little Zoe arrived from the pound in pretty poor condition, clearly she had not come from the best of environments. Luckily for her they made sure she saw the vet as she had a really sore eye. This treatment no doubt saved her eye. Although she has limited sight in this eye its so much better for her to keep her eye.

She has seen our vets and does have dry eye in this eye, the ulcer she had has healed well. Going forward she will need treatment daily for her dry eye – we currently have her on Optimune twice daily which is ensuring her eye stays moisturized and comfortable for her. Going forward the cost of treatment is approximately £26 per month.

Zoe would like new owners who are around for a good part of the day, she must be the only dog and no cats or small furry animals for this little lady. Zoe is wonderfully affectionate and loves to be cuddled up with you, she walks well on her lead, is super friendly and so very tiny weighing in at 3.5kg. As we have a limited history for Zoe she cannot be homed with young children, any children would need to be 12+ and used to being around dogs.

As Zoe has separation anxiety she must be rehomed with owners around a lot during the day who are prepared to work on this to enable her to be left for short periods of time. When she is taken out, being dog aggressive she must be kept on lead or muzzled. Owners experienced with terriers or dog aggression would be great. She potentially given the right home, boundaries and training may improve in this area in time.

We know she is a mature lady and given the condition of her coat and eyes, we know she has not had much in her life, its her time to find her own sofa with owners who adore her and who are happy to indulge her. She deserves it, life hasn’t been kind to her but you can make up for this by offering her forever home.

Zoe has been neutered, vaccinated and micro chipped and is up to date with flea and worming treatment. Her ulcer is healed. She has also had a full dental. Zoe is currently being fostered in Tatsfield Surrey. Home check and set donation applies.
