Bette – 2-3 year old female French Bulldog

Bette is a 2-3 year old female French Bulldog. She is an adorable tiny little girl who just loves cuddles, Bette is blind and will benefit from a home used to blind dogs and their needs. She had many health issues when she arrived with us, thankfully she has made real improvements and is now ready to find her forever home.

Bette loves people and cuddles, due to her limited sight she can be a little nervous initially until she knows and trusts. Due to limited history and blindness a home with older teenagers only. Despite lacking in sight Bette knows the moment there is a cat in the house, she is relentless so a cat free home please.

Bette gets on well with other dogs but she plays hard and rough, it is thought that due to her limited sight she bites harder in play as she is not as aware of her surroundings and situation. It is felt that Bette would potentially be best placed as an only dog. We would discuss this with potential homes that felt particularly equipped to deal with Bette’s needs but have a resident dog.

Bette has been a complex girl to sort, she had digestive issues and skin problems. Her foster has worked hard and has her on a food regime that works for her – she will be happy to discuss this with suitable applicants and to offer advice where needed.

It is important that Bette stays on her current diet as it works for her and she is looking and feeling great. It takes Bette a little while to map out her surroundings and to find her feet. Once she has she is very happy and manages really well. She loves the sofa and having cuddles.

For a dog with very little sight she loves her walks, she is a happy friendly little girl who is good on lead. Care needs to be taken walking her in new areas until she is used to the land. Bette deserves the best after being abandoned by her owner, she is a great girl who would like a quieter home with people who are around for most of the day and who are experienced with owning blind dogs. She is a cracking little girl who will make a wonderful addition in the right home.

Bette has been neutered, vaccinated and micro chipped and has also had a full dental. She is up to date with flea and worming treatment.

Potential adopters will be expected to travel to Bagshot Surrey to meet Bette.
