Ebony is a 2 year old female Cross-Breed. She was rescued in Cyprus and flew to the UK as a puppy, to what was hoped would be her forever home. However due to circumstances beyond her control, she is now looking for a new forever home. She is currently living in Portsmouth. Here is a little about her: Ebony is a very loving dog who enjoys belly rubs and cuddle. She enjoys playing with toys especially those that squeak. She loves to play fetch with either a tennis ball or Frisbee. Ebony plays well with other dogs when out on a walk and loves to stretch her long legs with a good run as soon as she is let free. She currently lives by the sea, but she has never been keen on the idea of going in for a dip so definitely not a water baby.
Ebony is happy to walk on the lead on a collar or harness (She can be easily spooked so her current family keep her on a harness as she can slip a collar if scared). Ebony is well mannered around food. She is house trained and sleeps well though the night. She has not used a crate. She is happy to be left at home but likes to have something to keep her entertained such as a bone or kong or puzzle. She is very dog friendly and currently lives with a male dog, so we are sure that she would be happy to share her new home with another dog. Ebony is nervous and a confident dog in the home may help her. She has not met cats since arriving in the UK. However, she does not chase squirrels or birds in the park and is very soft and gentle so possibly with careful and positive introductions she would be happy to share her home with a cat.
Ebony is timid around children and would prefer to find an adult only home. She is very wary of new people but once she gets to know you, she is a loving, happy girl. Ideally Ebony would like a home that is not in the city as she is a very nervous dog. An adult only home where there is a set routine in place and little noise. She would be fine as an only dog however another confident dog in the home would really be a bonus for her as she has never been alone. She loves to go on long walks and run so an active owner would be excellent. She is very clever and quick to learn so if her new family were interested in agility or obedience; she would really enjoy it.
