Iris is a six year old female Shih Tzu who arrived at Mayhew due to a relationship split. Iris is a sensitive girl who builds strong bonds quickly and likes to snuggle in close for love and attention. She’s confident and playful indoors but can be slightly anxious outside. She’s very playful and will happily keep herself entertained with toys, her favourite toys are ones which squeak.
Iris is looking for an experienced owner who has, as an adult, independently owned dogs before. She’s looking for a rural or semi-rural home where she can be exercised without coming into contact with lots of other dogs. Any children in her home with need to be over thirteen years of age. She has some anxiety about being left home alone so she will need a home where there is someone always around and the time left alone built up very slowly.
Iris has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and is up to date with flea and worm treatment. She has also been health checked and behaviourally assessed.
