Jules – 21 month old male Cross-Breed

Meet lovely Jules! He is an extremely gentle and friendly boy. He is just 2 years old and is approximately 10.5kg in weight. He is fostered in Cheshire. He is living in a busy foster home with Auntie Lesley, her two teenagers and 3 small dogs and is friendly with them all – and the cat!

Jules is also a very handsome lad, with a beautiful fur coat, beautiful big black eyes and a black muzzle. He is a small-medium sized boy. Jules had never lived in a home before. He was very timid, but has now turned into the most amazing dog, and will make a great pet. He is house trained and lead trained and loves his walks.

We are looking for a wonderful home for Jules, and although it isn’t set in stone it would be nice if he had another dog in the home. Jules can live with teenagers, and although he is good with younger children, we would only rehome him with visiting younger children. He is okay with the cat he lives with but as with any dog he would need careful introductions with any new cat/s.

When Jules first arrived in foster on 28th July, Auntie Lesley told us that Jules had a “funny leg” and after a few days she could not get him to walk on a lead. As a very experienced foster, she knew there was something not right, so he went to the vet and had x rays, and he had fractured his hip.

That was over 4 months ago and Jules is fully recovered and now loves his walks and is no longer in pain. This is all we know about this past. Jules was taken to a public shelter in Radauti in Romania by a dog catcher in March 2019. He is a very lucky boy having only spent 4 months in the shelter. Neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Homecheck and adoption fees apply.

Addendum: Our lovely Jules is now on the road to recovery after his hip operation and is now ready to be homed. We pulled him out of a large public shelter in Romania only to discover that when he was in the UK he needed a hip op at vast expense.

He has been in foster since 28th July with our fairy godmother Auntie Lesley in Cheshire who has been an absolute saint in looking after this boy before his op, teaching him about living in a home and now helping him recuperate.
