Charlie is a steady, quiet, thoughtful, calculating, loving, friendly, playful big boy. He is also a thief. Will take any food within reach but we have been working on this and he is improving every week. He is a real foodie which makes him very easy to train. Charlie will do anything for a bit of sausage or a biscuit. Next to food, Charlie loves being out running around the fields, woods and hills, hedge surfing, squirrel hunting, mud wallowing. Recall has been excellent, 98%. Loves going in the car. Settles well. Loves to be with you. When left at home with the other dogs he settles down and has never destroyed anything or made a mess in the home.
Charlie will bark at the back door if he wants to go out to toilet. He has settled well into our routine and has been happy to be with the 5 other dogs. Loves to watch their food being prepared, excited but waits his turn without any grumbles. Charlie has also loved any visitors to the house, both canine and human. Will go and get a toy from the basket and try to entice someone to play. He has occasionally growled at a dog over a toy but responds instantly to a firm NO… That Will Do.!!! When taken to a pub on a busy lunchtime, Charlie settled down under the table with the other dogs and was rewarded with a sausage. In fact the Landlady and other customers complimented me on how well behaved the 4 dogs were, especially as they were spaniels.
Charlie loves ALL dogs he has met. In the home and out walking. Loves to go and say hello.
Charlie has snapped & bitten in his previous home but I have not seen any sign of any aggression at all in the 5 weeks i have had him. He was in a very busy household with children and did appear stressed when I collected him. He relaxed the moment he walked into our home and met my old Collie dog and the other boys. He will need firm but fair handling and will make the right person a super friend.
Charlie is neutered chipped vaccinated wormed and flead and adoption is subject to meet and greet homecheck and adoption fee. Applications via forms section of website please.
