Buster is a 2-3 year old male Whippet cross Greyhound. He is lovely, affectionate and tactile Greyhound cross Whippet boy. He is needing a home because of his owner’s health and housing issues. He is absolutely delightful and loves everyone, but is unsure of very young children with whom he has very little experience. He finds their eratic movements and squealing disturbing. However he has never displayed any aggression towards them, merely very cautious curiosity.

Buster is amazing with other dogs, even small ones and happily lives with several here. He used to attend a doggy daycare, and had many friends of all sizes among his pals there. He was such a favourite, that when he left to come into rescue, he was given all sorts of presents.
Buster has met with family cats, and has not shown any aggression or preditory behaviour towards them, he is gently curious and likes to smell and be near them.

Buster has a very sensitive stomach, his previous owners tried him on a variety of manufactured foods, but found a raw diet suited him best. He is also fine on some complete diets. Treat wise he only has natural treats such as rabbit ears, chicken feet, dried fish etc. Buster is fully house trained, not generally destructive*, calm and well behaved indoors. However he does need to a home with at least one other dog.

*However Buster does suffer with some separation anxiety if left home alone, and may chew items, or scrabble at the door, causing damage. So he needs a stay at home family, who can build his confidence over a period of time.

Buster loves to have plenty of space, and loves to go on long walks. He would probably appreciate a coat when it’s cold or wet, but is happy to go Walkies whatever the weather. He would really make the best hiking dog as he has so much energy and loves to walk and be out of the house. His favourite pastime is hanging out with his buddies.

Buster loves his home comforts. He does use his own bed for eating treats and laying on when he is hot, but always slept on the bottom of the bed with his previous owners. Buster is living it up at the is at the Sanctuary near Kidwelly in South Wales.

Potential adopters will be expected to travel to meet him at the Sanctuary, after completing an application questionnaire, and a home check.
