Hugo has just arrived and is going to make a family very happy. He’s a one year old male American Bulldog who is good with children (we’d say 5+ given how excitable he is at present), he’s good with other dogs and we’ve been told he just wants to play with the cats who used to come into his old garden. He’s not really been walked so he’s strong on the lead and does a lot of tripping you up but this is easily worked on.
He does walk well on a halti and seems fine with it. He adores people and wants to make a fuss the minute he meets you. He travels well in the car. He’s a big lad who is vaccinated and chipped and will be off to our vets for neutering ASAP. We’ve been told he’s okay to be left for a few hours but given his age we want a home where he won’t be left for too long. He’s going to make an amazing, smushy, slobbery addition to the right family and with a bit of training will be fabulous.
