Bertie – 1 year old male Beagle

Beautiful Bertie is looking for his fur ever home. Bertie is an 1 year old male Beagle. He has been neutered, microchipped and vaccinated. Here is what his foster family say about him – He is intrigued by cats but not agressive in the slightlist. During his fostering, he has encounter three house cat and there have been no issues. Bert is a very young energetic dog, he lives to run off lead and tire himself out. He explores but is very conscious not to be out of eye sight. Bert loves all dogs he has encountered on his walks, he loves being chased by the other dogs and would fit well into a pack. He returns to a whistle and the fosters voice but he is not sure of his name.

In the house. He ideally needs a lots attention from a other dogs and/or people. He loves to cuddle up on the sofa and watch tv. When in your company he goes outside to the toilet but when left along for longer periods of time he does his toilet indoors, we are sure this can taught him and he follows other dogs so I’m presence of an obedient dog he will soon pick up good habits. After a cuddle he happily goes to sleep in his bed, which is in the hallway in view of our bed. He’s a lovely young dog that would suit a forever home with Spritely dog(s) and owners who can spend time with him, in return he will happily play all day with dogs and give all the affection the owners would like.

Bertie has a beautiful temperament, so sweet natured, trusting and loves attention. He isn’t aggressive in the slightest despite what he appears to have been through already. He loves nothing more than being by your side 24/7. He is very playful and energetic. He loves to run and play with other dogs. Bert just wants a pal to play with and cuddle up with on the sofa. He would suit living with another young or playful dog or maybe someone who goes running or cycling as he would easily keep up.

He gets on well with dogs, children and is not phased by cats. He is a bit nervous of loud noises and doesn’t like squeaky toys. He is slowly learning how to play with toys although he doesn’t seem to like balls at the moment but does like a ragger. Bert LOVES food and isn’t fussy!!! He hasn’t yet mastered “Sit” as he just gets too excited for the treat that comes after. He would need some support with his obedience training. Bert can jump quite high and is inquisitive so a secure garden with high fences would be essential.
