Dorothy is fostered near Norwich. Dorothy is an 8-9 year old female Labrador Cross. Dorothy was rescued from a kill list in a public shelter in Romania. She was taken to a safe private shelter where she has been waiting for a chance of a home for some time. During all this time Dorothy has lacked love, attention and exercise but she most definitely has NOT lacked food!! Although Dorothy was meant to be a smallish crossbreed dog it is quite difficult to see that right now as she is so grossly overweight. We cannot emphasize enough how important it is for anyone taking Dorothy into their lives to be kind to her by limiting her food and monitoring her exercise program. Now that Dorothy finally can have the life she never dared hope for we all want her to enjoy it for the longest possible time and she needs to get healthy!
In character Dorothy is an absolute sweetheart, she’s affectionate and loving…… a little lazy right now because movement is a struggle but she can still strut her stuff and do a full body wag when she greets you. Dorothy is mixing well with all other dogs in her foster home and enjoys the company of children.
