Poppy is a 6 year old female Terrier Cross. Lovely Poppy is a medium sized with a tan rough coat. She was rescued in July 2017 from an illegal pound, where she had been born. She didn’t know anything about the outside world, so she was extremely fearful of everything. She was sent to a foster home where she has improved a lot. She is still a shy, wary girl with strangers but she has learnt to trust people over time and she is affectionate.
She lives with other dogs and she needs a home with other calm dogs to make her feel safe. She is very sociable with other dogs and compatible with cats. We are looking for a quiet home without young children for her but anther dog is a must to help giver confidence. Poppy is a calm, sweet girl. She walks very well on a lead, she doesn’t pull. She is sociable with all dogs and can live with other animals.
Poppy is house-trained and calm at home as long as she is not left for long periods alone. It would be ideal if she could be homed with a retired couple, who already have a quiet dog. Poppy had a very rough start to her life and she needs a bit more time and patience than other dogs, but she is a very special little lady, very good-natured and loving and can be exceptionally affectionate, once she bonds with you.
