Papi is a 10 month old male Chihuahua who has come into rescue due to being fearful and overwhelmed by the young resident children in the home. He is a shy little guy when he first meets you but soon warms up and is actually quite confident. Despite being a small little guy he’s quite brave out in the big wide world too.
He walks beautifully on the lead and enjoys a lovely frolic offlead, his recall really isn’t too bad either. Due to his size Papi has been fearful of bigger dogs here but is settling down well. He lives with other chihuahuas quite happily but was a little vocal when he first met them. Now they are all firm friends.
Papi is only a baby and is essentially a bit of a blank canvas. He needs new owners who will take the time to help him develop into a well balanced canine. He would benefit from training classes and more socialisation. He needs further work on his housetraining as living in a flat previously he has not had a lot of access to outside toileting spaces and doesn’t quite make the connection just yet.
He’s a bright little chap though and is picking it up quickly. Papi travels well in a car when crated, is non destructive in the home and happy to be left for small durations of time. He is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped and will be subject to a home check and adoption donation. He will also come with 4 weeks free insurance and a voucher for a box of free food.
