Don is 4 years now and a large size, around 25 kilos. He is one of our long term foster dogs and is such a sweet affectionate boy. Don doesn’t have any behaviour issues, in fact he is almost perfect, so affectionate and loving, good with dogs and cats too. He does however have a health issue. He was diagnosed with spondylosis 2 years ago and the vet said that eventually he will need to be put to sleep when the pains start and he cant walk properly.
But for 2 years he didn’t change at all, he runs and plays, Don has a perfectly normal life with us. The only thing is for the adopters to know and accept that maybe he wont get old with them, we will never know how much quality time he will have but, in the end no one knows this about any dog, so he deserves a chance to have his own family, with less dogs around, to be loved and cared till the end.
Don doesn’t need any treatment at this moment in time and no huge costs will ever be involved regarding his diagnosis, plus we will always be happy to help fundraise regarding costs if this is the case.
We so want for this dog to feel what a home is, to be loved and cared for,to have full attention, he adores people companionship, its such a pity he has to share us with so many other dogs in need.
