Blade – 10 year old male Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross Boxer

Blade is a 10 year old male Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross Boxer. Blade deserves a loving home. He will fit into any household and has so much love to give. Blade enjoys his walks; he can pull slightly and is not keen on walking near the road. Blade is not reactive to other dogs and it appears as if he wants to play with them. Blade does not play with toys; he is very affectionate on his terms and will happily snuggle up to you when he chooses, for this reason, Blade, will better suit a home with older children. Blade is fine to be left, he is house trained and can usually be found snuggled up on the sofa. Blade is a super dog; he is well behaved, not over excited and a joy to be around.

FOSTER REPORT: Blade is currently in a foster home with another dog Rocky whom he has lived with for many years and they adore each other. They love to snuggle up together on the sofa, they occasionally have a little play fight, and they will happily eat from the same bowl. Blade will bark to let you know somebody is at the door but is not a constant barker.

We would love Blade to be homed with his lifelong friend Rocky. They adore each other. A home with experience of the breed would be ideal.

Adopting A DogWatch UK Rescue Dog: Before being adopted, dogs will have bee vaccinated, wormed and treated for fleas. If old enough they will have been neutered, if too young the new owners will need to ensure this is done. All dogs are microchipped. All new owners can apply for 4 weeks Pet Insurance FREE, to be activated from the link on our website.

For Rescue Dogs coming from overseas: This adoption fee is a contribution towards the costs of rescuing the dog including – microchip, pet passport, vaccines, tests for South European diseases, neutering (IF OLD ENOUGH), parasite treatment and transport to the UK. We can not home dogs from overseas to people who work full time or long hours, unless some sort of doggy day care is offered.

They need someone at home a lot of the day, they are not used to being alone for long periods. A dog walker for an hour out of the day is not enough. Leaving dogs a long time on their own means they are highly likely to develop separation anxiety which is distressing for them and everyone in their new home.

To apply to adopt please fill in our adoption application.
