Bella is a 4 year old female Bichon Frise. Bella Has come to us to find her forever home now that she is no longer required for breeding, she knows little of life in the home and is understandably nervous. Everything is new and very scary for her. She would like new owners who are around for most of the day and who have a gentle similar sized resident dog. We cannot re home ex breeding dogs without a resident dog as this is where they take most of their confidence from and learn what is good about being a much loved pet.
She is very playful and affectionate with the other dogs and her foster mum. She now takes food from her hand and is definitely less skittish. Little Bella can be destructive when left – opened a draw and destroyed a roll of bin bags, a dicky bag and a dog onesie! Her foster mum said don’t think she quite believed it when the mess was cleared up and she wasn’t told off. Crate training or a secure area when left initially would be good for Bella.
Bella has been on a few walks, extension lead, and is extremely inquisitive she will come to her name. Obviously she is still easily scared and could bolt so a secure harness as well as a collar and lead are a must. It is only time and confidence that this little lady needs. She will need new owners with experience of nervous dogs and at least one other similar sized resident dog. Please don’t apply if you do not have a resident dog as we will not consider your application. Bella could not cope without another resident dog in her new home.
She has been neutered, vaccinated and micro chipped and is up to date with flea and worming treatments. Bella has also had her teeth cleaned and polished. Bea is currently being fostered in Burnham Berkshire, SL1.
