Nico is a 3 year old male Cross-Breed from Romania, currently in foster in Morayshire, Scotland. Nico is a smallish lad, around 40cms to the shoulder who came to the UK in October. He is blossoming in his foster home but Nico now needs his forever home. In the words of his foster mum, he is such a sweet, affectionate dog who is a quick learner and eager to get it right. He gives back so much and seeing his progress in such a short space of time has been so rewarding. He is a clever boy and has really benefited from positive game training which in turn is helping to build his confidence.
Nico would love an active home where he had a confident dog friend for company and an experienced adopter who is prepared to continue to build on his basic training, teaching all the things he needs to know about recall and etiquette when out walking etc.
Nico is house-trained and sociable with his house mates. Nico walks well on the lead though can pull a bit if excited and needs committed work on his recall. He can be a bit nervous is new situations and can startle easily, although is growing in confidence all the time.
Due to this Nico would not be suitable for a home with young children. Nico would need a home with a secure garden – high fencing is a must and the bigger the better!
