Millie is a 4 year old female English Cocker Spaniel. Millie is a very nervous girl who has come to us as she is no longer required for breeding. She knows nothing of life in the home and is understandably very, very nervous. She will need new owners who have experience with nervous dogs and a home with at least one other similar sized confident resident dog. With time and patience Millie will blossom but she needs dedicated new owners to help her start her journey.
She has just started to learn about walking on lead, at present she is terrified of traffic so is taken to the park by car to gain on lead confidence before tackling the traffic. Millie would be fine with older teenagers who understand that she will be nervous and will take time to feel settled. A quieter home would be best for Millie, she needs patience and time to allow her to find her feet and continue to make progress that her fosters have started with her.
Millie does not like to be left for long so her new owners must be prepared to work on this with her and gradually build her independence, we will be happy to offer advice and guidance if needed. She has had a hard life and this shows in her fear, Millie has the potential to make a great dog with understanding and patience.
She has been neutered, vaccinated and micro chipped and has also had her teeth cleaned and polished. Millie is currently being fostered in Croydon Surrey.
