Little Maya is a Terrier mix girly- approx 5/6 months old being fostered in Spain with her brother Milo. The lovely rescue we work with in Spain took this little girl and her brother on after they were dumped – when Sue first saw them they were terrified cowering in a box, she was hoping to have a break from fostering but I know what a big heart she has and there was no way she was not going to help them so home they went with her.
Maya has been with Sue quite a few weeks now and is the more confident of the two of them – nothing like the little broken girl that first came into her care – she is getting used to walking on the lead with other dogs now, mastered her house training, she adores Sue’s partner Gerald and we have taken some videos – she particularly likes to sit on your head – she gets on well with the other dogs but can be a bit of a bossy boots with her brother typical Terrier I would say.
Sue feels she is now ready to look for her forever home – someone to continue the good work Sue has put in, she is still going to be nervous and will need people who have experience of rescue dogs and can help her to continue to grow in confidence – I think she would benefit from another dog but I would say male because of her being bossy or if a bitch a different breed rather than a terrier. I will add she is fine with the other dogs she lives with but we are just being cautious.
So a loving little girl who has had a terrible start in her life looking for a wonderful home – I think she will be a cheeky little character as her confidence grows and great fun.
