Toni is a 2 year old male Brittany Spaniel. Toni was taken to a veterinary clinic in Navarra in Spain by a a hunter in his late 70s because apparently he isn’t soft-mouthed enough with the prey when he retrieves it. While he was in the clinic he cocked his leg against the counter and the old man proceeded to belt him. The vet was horrified and told the hunter not to do that and quickly made up her mind to take the dog on to get him away from the hunter as soon as possible.
He’s been at the vet’s (which has a small outdoor area where the dogs can run around) for 3 days now, the first couple of days he was scared and cowered (unsurprisingly given his experience of humans until then) but now he’s gained confidence a lot and runs up to the vet who rescued him to have cuddles. He’s in a run with other dogs male and female and gets on well with all. He just needs a home now.
