Missy is a 11 year old female Staffordshire Bull Terrier. Lovably Missy was rehomed from us 5 years ago after spending 2 long years in kennels. She had originally came to us a stray after she was found wandering the streets with her friend Mutley. Sadly over time Missy and Mutley had to be separated as they started to squabble in the kennel environment. Mutley quickly found a home but poor Missy was left behind. We were all delighted when she finally found a home and are devastated to see her back here once again due to the ill health of her owner.
When Missy came back to us she weighed a whopping 30.4kg but with a strict diet and exercise plan she has now managed to lose over 8kg! She does have some arthritis so is on supplements for this which she will need for the rest of her life.
Missy is used to older visiting children but can be unsettled by the noise and activity levels of youngsters so will need a home with no young children. She is an absolute sweetheart, she is a typical Staffy who wants to make friends with everyone! She is clean, non-destructive and can be left alone for a few hours. She loves her home comforts – which includes being tucked up in bed. She can be reactive towards other dogs on walks and will need to be the only pet in the home.
Missy desperately deserves to find some good luck now with a loving owner who can spoil her in her twilight years. Missy has been going home for short breaks with one of our volunteers and has been the perfect house guest. She is clean, non destructive and super friendly with all visitors. Our volunteer cannot praise Missy enough and believes she will make a perfect companion.
