Little Elliot is about 18 months to 2 years old and is in foster near Glasgow. He has a deformed foot and only has 2 toes on one foot and when he arrived did not use his back leg. We were told this was also a birth defect but when I took him to the vets for x-rays it turned out that the reason he did not use his leg was because it was broken. We had the leg reset and Elliot is currently in a plaster cast but because of where it was broken and as it’s an old injury the best we can hope for is for it to fuse together in a way that will not allow his leg to bend properly.
Elliot was very quiet when he arrived and we just thought he was shy but since he has had his leg set he is a totally different dog which says he was clearly in a lot of pain before. Elliot is a cheeky monkey. He loves being cuddled and plays beautifully with the other dogs and has lots of character. He doesn’t bother with the cats but can be a bit barky at strangers but I’m sure this will stop with the more people he meets. Elliot is small medium in size or large small sized and I’d guess his weight at about 10-12 kilos max.
