Theo was rescued in Cyprus and is now in the UK hoping to find his very own family and forever home. He is currently living with his foster mum in Southwark, London. Theo is an absolutely gorgeous little boy (he weighs 5kg) with a typical puppy temperament. His passport says he is simply a cross breed, but he possibly has a hint of Miniature Pinscher. Although shy at first he quickly finds his confidence in a new home and within the first day with his foster mum had made friends with her two dogs of a similar size and also grown attached to his foster mum.
Theo loves to play and bounce about. He would like activities to provide mental stimulation and regular exercise as he is a clever little chap who likes to be busy. He already knows his name and is a pleasure to take out on walks though is still a little unsure of a lead or harness and needs a little coaxing and rewarding as well as patience. Theo has great recall in the garden but due to him being new to the UK and a home environment we would not risk lead free walks unless in a small enclosed area till he is fully settled.
Theo shows little interest in toys and is very attached to humans. He will do well with other dogs in the home or as the only pet providing he is not left alone for long periods. He will need someone home most of the day especially if he is going to be the only dog. We have not tested Theo with cats so we do not know whether he would like to share his new home with one.
Theo is not a big eater but loves treats. Although completely non-aggressive he does not like young kids as they scare him when they just grab at him. He will be great with older kids who will run around with him. He will need a garden as he is energetic!
Theo is going to need some help with his house training as he has grown up in a kennel and is still learning the house rules. He will need patience and not anyone that will get upset or impatient with him. Theo is great in the car and doesn’t mind going out but is shy around new people but not overly so and warms up quickly.
Theo is a gorgeous little man and will make an unbelievably affectionate and loving, loyal companion. His ideal home is one that has someone that works from home or is home most of the day and someone with time to give him regular walks and adventures as well as time to train him properly. He wants a calm, patient human as he is a sensitive little chap. He really has the potential to be an amazing family pet. If you might be interested in this gorgeous young boy, please contact us.
