Pip is a 4 year old male English Springer Spaniel. I have watched Pip carefully over the last few days to write an honest assessment. He is learning to sit and wait for his food, fed in the kitchen where ever I go he follows. Pip is a guarder. he will stay in kitchen between me and the open door. He likes people and rarely barks he has only barked at a strange cat smell. He does check the perimeter fence regularly. He is walking much better on a shorter lead, tend to pull at start of a walk then relaxes. I have a 16 year old who takes him for a run approx 5 miles on Saturday and Sunday, walks twice daily a short walk in the morning 30 to 40 mins and a longer walk 5pm ish.

He loves playing fetch with tennis balls but does not like going under bushes to retrieve a ball. ( that’s my job!). He jumps at sudden noises and runs away yet takes no notice of gun shots. Pip plays nice with my resident dog. No outright aggression yet will push his way in between us. He needs a firm but loving hand to guide him. He now looks at cats but leaves them alone. He is now much fitter and losing weight nicely.

He sleeps in a crate at night his safe space and to give cats free roaming of house at night. He tends to circle when needs to go out, I feed 2 meals a day normally but with Pip I’ve made it 3 very small meals plenty of cooked veg raw mince or chicken wing. A small amount of dry food after evening walk. He does limp a little in frosty weather after his walk/ run maybe Arthritis starting in old broken leg joint.

Pip is neutered, chipped, vaccinated, wormed and flead and adoption is subject to meet and greet, homecheck and adoption fee. Please apply via the forms section on our website.
