Darcey Bussell is a 5 year old female Labrador Cross. This lady has graced many platforms and surfaces, known for her beautiful movement graceful in motion, always on her toes. And what may have come as a natural form of artistic expression, came at a heavy price, when one day her feet were sliced off from beneath her. This was no birth deformity, but a cruel act of insanity. Especially as one leg was cut slightly shorter than the other. Darcey the dancing girl pleaded in agony, they thought she’d never walk again, They thought that it was all over. But it was her inner strength, her greatest will, and desire to continue to move forward. Regardless of what others had said, she never gave less thought or less will. She strived forward. Bless her dearest little soul, Darcey is such a happy and loving girl. Regardless of the past, she has remained kind towards people. Good with dogs, and lives with cats. Do not look down your nose at her disability. Look up at her ability to brighten days. She does not judge the way that you look, she does not judge the way that you move.

She does not care for what you may earn, or what car you drive. Her heart is pure and her love is true. She stands out in the crowd, and so can you. Let us not forget that we too grow older, one day we might need assistance ourselves, or a simple dose of love and understanding. When your fellow humans let you down. A dog will always be there to love and support you. Darcy can walk, although softer surfaces such as grass, carpet or sand. The harder surfaces can be uncomfortable, so she prefers the softer ones. This girl loves to jump onto the sofa to relax, happily navigating herself on and off to find the best spot. Darcy eats well, loves fresh water, will assist at feeding times, is clean in the home, doesn’t chew and appreciates time and affection. Vaccinated, wormed, microchipped, neutered, vaccinated against rabies and has a Pet Passport.
