Anubis – 6 year old male Ibizan Hound (Podenco)

Anubis is a 6 year old male Ibizan Hound (Podenco). Anubis is a stunning chap with a rich russet coat. He has impressive handsome looks, so be prepared for people to stop you to ask about him! Those ears are just amazing. Anubis is always happy, he is always smiling and up for any game or adventure. He just loves company, weather its walking or cuddling he is in his element. He is medium to large in size and super huggable.

Anubis adores the volunteers he meets at the shelter and they all have a soft spot for him. Viv who volunteers regularly described him as “a wonderful cheeky boy, he just loves it when you go in his kennel and give him some love, but if you stop stroking or tickling him he will gently pat you with his paw to remind you to carry on.”

Anubis loves to go for a walk – he is quite good on the lead but obviously very excited at first to be out of his kennel. An added bonus is that he loves to go out for a ride in a car. This lad may be 6 years old, but he is in top condition and very fit, he loves to run and race you down to the shelter gate. He is a playful boy, he is inquisitive and really likes the stimulation of play with toys, balls and also with other dogs. He is very good with females but not too keen on all other male dogs, as he likes to pick his friends! He makes everyone laugh at the shelter especially when after a walk he jumps straight in the paddling pool.

After a busy morning playing and exploring he loves to relax and will lie in the sun for as long as he can. He just loves attention and cuddles and we know that he will love a sofa and a proper home. Anubis was abandoned by hunters when they no longer needed his services. This means that he does like to chase rabbits and other small animals, so he could not live in a home with cats or small furry animals. Everything is an adventure to him and its a pleasure to spend time with him. He his is so affectionate. He has a happy disposition, always has a big smile on his face! He loves people to bits, especially when he can get tummy rubs and ear scratches. He will make a wonderful, funny, loving addition to any home.

Current location is in Spain, he can travel to the UK once he has a home to go to. Vaccinated, wormed, flea treated, neutered, microchipped, Pet Passport.

Adoption Fee : £165 – to be paid direct to the Spanish rescue to cover travel costs.
