Oscar is a three year old medium sized Cross-Breed possibly a Schnauzer cross. Oscar was brought to the UK by another rescue but we were asked to take him on two weeks later as they didn’t feel they could rehome him. Oscar is fostered in Marsham (FR001).
Oscar was timid on arrival as we were told to expect but we all completely ignored him and allowed him to adjust in his own time and in a couple of days he was approaching us for attention. By day three he was a lap dog. Oscar needs an experienced adopter that will take this tried and proven approach with him because if someone puts a hand out to him or tries to impose attention onto him that he’s not ready for he will get scared and snap. He’s a fantastic dog if allowed that time and has clearly been through bad things in his past that have taught him to be weary.
A bit of kindness and understanding goes a long way with this lovely boy. He is fine with other dogs but would be equally as happy without them. He loves his walks and walks well on a lead.
