Lottie – 2 year old female Labrador cross Corgi

Lottie is a 2 year old Labrador cross Corgi in foster in Stroud, Gloucestershire. Beautiful Lottie has tons of love to give! She was rescued from a kill shelter in Romania, and when she first arrived in foster she was quite a nervous and shy dog, understandably given what she’d been through – life is tough for street dogs. She needs confident and loving adopters that can continue to work with her and help her grow in confidence. She’s a lovely little character, with a gentle personality. She’d love a quieter type home, with older kids or adults only as she can become overwhelmed and nervous in busy environments. She adores other dogs, and would love to live with a friend or a few friends that she could play with. She currently lives quite happily with cats too – she was a little scared of them at first, but soon learned to love them!

Lottie’s quite an active girl (due to her age and breed mix), so she loves to run around gardens and play in parks. She’s learning to walk without pulling on lead, but this is a work in progress! She sometimes get too excited on lead and start to bark at other dogs, which is common with Romanian street dogs when they’re first learning how to be ‘normal’ and walk normally, with the right training and guidance this can be corrected. She’s also good off lead, and loves to zoom about but always come back when you call her.

Lottie’s very bright and a fast learner, as well as being super affectionate – she’s a real companion dog who adores cuddles and tummy rubs! She’d be great for adopters who want to do any kind of focused training with their dogs – she’d love clicker training and/or agility. She’s already learned ‘sit’, ‘paw’ and ‘wait’, as well as how to travel calmly in the car and how to settle at night. She can be left for periods of time with no trouble too. Due to her shy nature, Lottie can be scared of new people and strangers, but she’s getting better by the day. If you let her approach you in her own time and sniff your hand, she soon warms to you. Once she trusts you, she will love you forever! She loves having her head and neck stroked and is super loving and very strongly bonded with anyone that she knows well, she loves to cuddle up to her family on the sofa and hops up onto your knee like a lap dog.

Lottie is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, wormed, deflead and has a passport. Homecheck and adoption fees apply. If you want to offer this sweet, affectionate girl a loving home, please message us or email for a pre-adoption questionnaire.
