Lizzie is a seven year old medium sized Cross-Breed. Lizzie is fostered in Marsham (FR001). Lizzie came to us some months ago after spending years in the Botosani shelter in Romania. She was very shy and scared on arrival but actually started asking for a fuss quite soon after. The biggest stumbling block in Lizzie’s progress has been lead training as she’s been quite obstinsrely refusing. We’ve cracked it now though and as long as we keep her a bit sweet with treats and kind words she’s really starting to view walks with a bit of positivity now.
Lizzie is a lovely girl who really likes to make her opinions known. She plays well with the other dogs but can be a bit headmistressy if the game doesn’t go her way or gets out of hand. She’s still cautious of receiving fuss from strangers but when life hasn’t always been easy and people haven’t always been kind that becomes a sensible reaction and attitude to take.
When she knows you she is affectionate and sweet. I doubt she’s ever had the finer things in life she deserves or indeed much to call her own at all. She’s looking for a quietish forever home where time and patience will be put in to working with her confidence.
