Jack is a 22 month old male Ibizan Hound (Podenco). Nice little boy Jack Podenco is a handsome light tan and white podenco boy of medium size with a fab personality. Jack stands at Height to shoulder: 43cm, and Length 45cm. Jack loves other dogs and Yes !! a bonus!! He is cat and child friendly – what a fantastic all rounder this little chap is! When Jack was found in Spain, he was in a very bad way. It looked as if he had been attacked by another dog as he had several infected wounds. He was also severely malnourished and very frightened and we felt he was not strong enough to go into the refuge. He has since been living in a local foster home where with some TLC and good food Jack is now a changed and happy dog. Its quite remarkable to see so he is now ready to find a new family. His wounds are healed and he is gaining confidence everyday. We have no idea of his past, we can only hope his future will make up for whatever hardship he had to endure and that he can spend the rest of his life with a family who loves him.
Fosterer’s report : He loves the other dogs in his foster home and enjoys playing and rushing around with them. He also lives with cats too and has no problem with them. Current location is in a foster home in Spain can travel to the UK once he has a home to go to. Vaccinated, wormed, flea treated, Neutered, Microchipped, Pet Passport, FREE 4 weeks Pet Insurance to be activated from the link on our website. Any known health issues NONE KNOWN.
For Dogs coming from Spain: This adoption fee is a contribution towards the costs of rescuing the dog- microchip, passport, vaccines, tests for S European diseases, neutering (if old enough), parasite treatment and transport to the UK. We can not home dogs from Spain to people who work full time or long hours, unless some sort of doggy day care is offered. They need someone at home a lot of the day, they are not used to being alone for long periods. A dog walker for an hour out of the day is not enough. Leaving dogs a long time on their own means they are highly likely to develop separation anxiety which is distressing for them and everyone in their new home.
Adoption Fee : £ 285 – to be paid direct to the Spanish rescue to cover travel costs via UK bank account.
