Hector – 3 year old male Pointer Cross

Hector is a 3 year old male Pointer Cross. Hector is a rescue from Cyprus who recently flew to a foster home in Nuneaton to help him in his search for his forever family. Here is a little about him. Hector is one of the loveliest dogs! He is so happy to at last be living in a home, with lots of love and affection, and regular meals.

Given he has only recently arrived in the UK, life here is still one big adventure for him. He might be initially nervous, but once he relaxes and trusts his human he is so happy and affectionate. He’ll follow you around the house waiting for his next bit of attention. He loves to play, especially a bit of rough and tumble with another dog. He is full of life and sometimes in his sheer happiness, he gallops and bounces around the garden. Therefore he may be better suited to slightly older, dog savvy children. He sleeps well at night with no fuss and is ready to welcome you to start the adventure of a new day.

One thing to mention is that Hector has had limited training, so he really needs a home where his new humans will have time to spend with him on this. He walks well on the lead, but as with any new dog joining your family the time you invest in him will be rewarded tenfold. Hector loves to run around the garden at high speed, playing with his toys and the resident dog in his foster home. So he would love a home with a secure garden for him to play safely in and perhaps another dog for company. With the correct introductions Hector would also not mind sharing his new home with a cat.

Hector is such a good boy. He really just wants to please you and be loved – and it would be hard not to love this boy, everyone who meets him adores him. Hector does have Leishmania which doesn’t affect him in the slightest. He needs his medication each day which is supplied by the rescue and will keep the disease dormant. His Leishmania and any associated costs will always remain the rescue’s responsibility. Hector has, with the support and guidance of his new forever human(s), the potential to become an amazing, fun, family pet.
