Spencer is a 18 month old male Labrador Cross. Spencer was rescued in Cyprus and has flown to the UK hoping to find his very own family and forever home. He is currently living in his foster home near Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire. His passport describes him as a Labrador Cross, however, from his appearance he may also have a little Jura Hound and German Shepherd in his mix. Whilst we do not know his exact mix, we do know he is 100% adorable. Spencer is a very calm well behaved boy. However he is still young and very much up for fun.
He was overfed previously and is currently on a diet, so he does occasionally beg. But if he is told to he will move to his bed. Spencer is great with other dogs. He really enjoys playing and running with them. Perhaps an elderly dog would find his playfulness too much but he would love a home with an active playmate to chase around with.
He has not met a cat so we are not sure how he would be with them. He is house trained and crate trained if needed. He’s good at night and happily sleeps all night. He does have a slight separation issue but he gets over it very quickly. Spencer is very well trained and walks off the lead no problem. He is also good on recall and an absolute joy to take out on a long walk.
Spencer would love to find a home with an active family, perhaps with another dog and where he is not left for long periods. Spencer is great with kids and is the most loving, gentle boy.
